There is a tendency.................
How suspicious one is of ''news''.....often it depends on one's preconceived ideas about a subject. If a story that comes out that caters to your bias, then you're more likely to believe it.....I have been caught before, spreading news stories that catered to my point of view, that were fake.
Of course then there's the Onion and in Canada we have the Beaverton, they're just intended to be funny....but sometimes you have to wonder when you see a story.
Like if the Onion did a fake story about Trump naming a convicted rapist as being the head of a task force on women's issues.....some would probably believe it.
