This was a prediction made by Magnum and something I believe has alot of merit. After further review I came to the same conclusion. Here is what I posted on IHUB. Thoughts or comments welcome.
What are the possibilities of a merger happening here? Not really one to start a rumor or anything but this was brought up before by someone. The quickest route to grow would be merger or buyout. Growing 1-2 labs every few months may not be the ideal way to grow as big money enters with political connections. Getting a footprint quickly is essential to become the 800lb gorilla. After further thought I believe it is inevitable and believe it is going to happen. Getting to where WW wants to go....time is of essence and currently I donot believe we have 2 years with big money coming and the political connections involved. We need Las Vegas and a much larger footprint immediately and thus either merge or we buy out someone.
