Methotextrate Performs as well as Otezla According to a Recent Study
"While it’s too early to know if such findings might ultimately impact Otezla sales, given its parity as to efficacy with the much less expensive methotextrate, what the study does reinforce is physician and patient receptivity to oral psoriasis therapies, even moderately beneficial ones."

The estimated number needed to treat between apremilast to gain one additional PASI 75 responder was 7.644, meaning it would take nearly eight patients to be treated with apremilast instead of methotrexate, according to the researchers."
