May or may not be the case this time[?]. LG is dedicated to OLED for sure, but I'm seeing numerous reports that indicate LG is indeed, using QDots in a new line of offerings...like these specific comments from other sources: " To achieve this, LG uses a quantum dot film developed by the company’s display division that it calls Nano Cell, which allows for more accurate colors, deeper blacks, and a wider viewing angle." http://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/lg-...-ces-2017/
However, I've seen some mention of their 'Nano Cell tech' as being 1nm in diameter...which (I believe) would be limited to a light blue color 'only'...certainly not full-spectrum.
