Bearings break down over time, so there will still be a need for them for maintenance purposes. If TPAC is able to deliver the same quality product that is in use in other airplanes at a cheaper price, then it is just another reason for Boeing to consider.
Also keep in mind that TPAC is still engaged in discussions with AVIC, another large aerospace entity in China that makes their own planes.
Just because Boeing is having difficulties building new planes doesn't mean TPAC will suffer directly. It's all on Bill at this point to figure out how to compensate for these challenges and still remain a player in the aerospace industry.
