So I finally got around to watching a Vice News special report on cancer treatments last night. It was all about the trials for utilizing viruses to treat, and from what it appears in the phase 1 and 2 trails, cure some forms of cancer. Researchers at the Mayo clinic are using the measles virus, the researchers at University of Pennsylvania are using the HIV virus, and the researchers in Ottawa hospital are using the common cold virus. The common thread is that the viruses are modified to detect only cancer cells and to essentially attack and destroy them. Really neat and potentially powerful treatments that might be able to "cure" certain forms of cancer.
That said, watching it made me simultaneously disappointed and very optimistic about K. I'm disappointed that it has not received any mass visibility as a drug with as much game changing potential as any of those treatments of the large variety of others being mentioned in the last few years. But I am extremely optimistic because all of those treatments are merely "curing" the cancer once it arrives. K has the potential to fix the mechanism in the body which allows the cancers to form in the first place, so I believe it has a much greater potential of efficacy and for cancer curing longevity. Additionally, K is not necessarily challenged by these other treatments because, as we will see in the K-OC P2 trial soon, K can and will be used in combination with other treatments to yield greater efficacy.
It is only going to be a matter of time when K and CTIX get their rightful media coverage and the general public becomes aware of the potential for an actual cure and not a treatment. Very exciting times in the coming years!!!
