How about this? The U.S. has not crapped on Israel.
It has been U.S. policy going back at least 3 administrations to oppose expansion of Israeli settlements in the occupied territories as not conducive to a two state solution.
Additionally, since when should U.S. foreign policy be beholden to any other nation's priorities?
