Fortunately with CTIX's pipeline (soon KOC too) in phase 2 trials proving the value of the drugs/platforms,BP will have to pay for the drugs based on the value of the drugs and not the market cap size of the company they are dealing with.With that said,I can't imagine BP wasting their time trying to manipulate the SP knowing CTIX has at least the resources to prove the valuations of their compounds through Phase 2 trials.I'm also sure Dr.Bertolino,with his background in BP,would be able to smell that rat and know how to deal with it also.If any BP had a motive though,someone like Celgene would have reason to want to keep Prurisol out of circulation.
