Stock futures flat as fiscal-cliff talks stall
FRANKFURT (MarketWatch) — Stalled talks toward averting the so-called fiscal cliff left U.S. stock-index futures struggling for direction Thursday, with investors set to turn their attention to a heavy round of economic data, including the latest figures on existing home sales and applications for jobless benefits.Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (CBE JH3) fell 4 points, or less than 0.1%, to 13,215.
