Tucker Battles College Student Organizing Inauguration Day Walk-Out

Tucker Carlson debated a self-avowed socialist Northeastern University student who is organizing a walk-out on January 20, 2017 to protest the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.

Junior Elan Axelbank, of the socialist students' organizing committee, said his group rejects what he called Trump's agenda of attacks on women, working-class immigrants, and his plan to have Muslim-Americans register with authorities.

Axelbank said he was diametrically opposed to many of Trump's cabinet nominees for their ties to the corporate world, and said it was a betrayal of his campaign promise to "drain the swamp" in Washington.

Carlson pressed him to explain why he was claiming to "care about working people" yet apparently not "squaring the fact private sector union members [largely] voted for Trump."

But, Axelbank said Trump's corporate agenda would hurt those exact voters.

Carlson concluded by saying Axelbank was not a socialist, but instead a "lifestyle liberal upset with the same boring rich-people topics."
