Great read Drano. I'll play devil's advocate for a moment though. The risk and consequences of a stroke being weighed against taking statins is a calculated guess. Many, through diet and exercise simply cannot reduce their serum cholesterol levels to acceptable numbers, and statins do the trick. obviously. Surely their are instances where negative outcomes have occurred, but the risk is usually judged sufficient for the benefits achieved. I take statins to reduce cholesterol on the advice of every doctor I've seen in the last 12 years. No negative symptoms so far have occurred. At the risk of having a stroke, I think I'll continue to take them until they think up something better. Still, I enjoyed the article mucho.
My hunting trip was cancelled dammit! Will try again next week on that front.
