Cheap labor AND automation have left you with the limited career opportunities you're struggling with
U.S. has lost 5 million manufacturing jobs since 2000.
Now cut this number in half and that is a lot of work for people.
All the material bought from other companies in the USA to build the products that are being made plus all the little things that go into things like that.

Then there is the fact that there is up keep on the buildings & expansions
Then there are TAXES to be paid on 2 Million 5 Hundred Thousand JOBS
Plus TAXES on all the Little things that go into that
