I just realized about today is the day when my hypothetical $10,000 mattress investment from two years ago, losing $20/trading day...has just run completely out and is now $0.
A hypothetical $10,000 investment on Dec 14, 2014...
- Invested by stuffing the cash under a mattress and losing $20/trading day is now: $0
- Invested in PTOI, based on today's closing price of $0.0384 is now: $5,545
While the mattress lost $20.00 per trading day over the two years, a $10,000 investment in PTOI would have lost only $8.91 per trading day. It was neck and neck for a while with the mattress sometimes well ahead of PTOI...but in the end PTOI solidly trounced the money-losing mattress by losing money at less than half the rate of the mattress.
