But there are things that rust DOES improve. For instance, have you seen the green copper roofs on older buildings? They start out as garish shiny orange copper which can reflect the sun into your eyes when you're driving, and then as they mellow and improve with age -- i.e., oxidize, they turn into burnt orange and then the classic green roof.

Remember, we are ALL oxidizing as we get older.... and hopefully improving with age
