Face it. The Blue States, including the temporarily Red ones, still produce most of the GDP and could be completely self-sufficient in agriculture, trade, technology, higher education, entertainment....the list is endless,
The Constitution was created, very deliberatively, with the path of Amendments to help to insure a 'more perfect union' though well deliberated and debated change to meet changing circumstances.
