I agree with most of what you all are saying, but I think we're missing a key point, when it comes to the likes of a Verizon or other like companies, in... what is the main issue when it comes to their customer base? Not including the obvious (quality, content, etc) the answer is all about the data. Devices are the main source of streaming and if your data package bites the big one, it'll mean less people watching which In turns creates a less demand for their product, services or both. Now, that being said... with all the competition going on with data ( Sprint, AT&T, vonage, etc) I believe one can clearly see the importance of gaining a key to the magic kingdom of streaming. And throw VR, and gaming into the mix, which I believe will be the next obvious, evolutionary step into the future of all things streaming. And because of this and this alone is why I think the race is on for these boemoth compinies to aquire or partner with the company that hold the golden chalice of the future TV, entertainment! Customer retention$$$$
