Can I ask a question a little off topic to those who are experienced in stocks? Please feel free to PM me instead of attacking this board....
How exactly would it work with capital gains if you were to sell a partial amount of shares that you have.
For example, if I had a million shares and I decided to sell 500K shares. Now let's say, at the moment 650k shares are over a year old and 350k were bought within the last year.
Would that 500k share sale be all considered Capital Gains?
