otc is a publicly traded for profit co that saw a need for a central gathering place for otc co's info and a profit from doing so -last i looked they received 40-50% of their revenues from said co's filings on otcmarkerts.com

so while i am sure they do care about transparency as their PR emphasizes they also are motivated by the profit motive and without transparency of these co's filings otc would have little revenue from said filings

so i'm more than a little suspicious of their pr and pressure sometimes esp as i've seen the many twists and turns of political tinkering they've taken in tightening reporting choke many pennies unnecessarily
