Herridge: Trump Will Take Office with Cyber Threats at All-Time High
The problems of cybertheft and cyberterrorism will be some of the most pressing concerns for the Donald Trump administration.
On "Special Report" tonight, Catherine Herridge reported that experts are saying that the threat of cyberattacks is at an all-time high.
"New research shows the depth and breadth of the cyber threat facing the next administration," Herridge said. "Last summer, a breach at the Office of Personnel Management affected millions of government security clearance holders and compromised 21.5 million social security numbers."
She added that the U.S. Army, IRS and unclassified State Department systems were also attacked.
Herridge said all of that came months before the DNC, DCCC and WikiLeaks election-related hacks.
She reported that Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson is urging the Trump team to remain focused on cyberattacks affecting critical systems like the power grid.
