Politics is a "nasty subject" and contentious .Just like "religion".I agree with Drano. But there are times such as now where "politics" hits us all where it hurts...in the wallet,,,that calls for discussion.HRC damaged our stock as well as other stocks with her negative comments on drug pricing. That gave shorts a "go-ahead" to keep pounding the biotech sector because the thought was that she would be elected and our stocks would be in the dumps for a long time.Shorts loved it until Trump won.Now look at how the shorts are acting.Prior to the election 9 out of 10 stocks I watch were deep in the red.Now after the election 7 out of 10 are up 25-40%.The overall market is also up and rebounding.Sometimes talking political agendas and candidates is beneficial when it applies to the markets.A "blanket" "no politics"rule hinders intelligent DD for the individual investor here.Besides the usual DD of the company, etc. We need to know the political climate that also affects the company we are dealing with.
