Date of Record: 3 trading days later (Friday, Monday, and Tuesday)or 12/18/12

You two are talking two different dates. The date of ex dividend and the date of record.

So today is the last day to jump in if anyone wants to own the stock to receive any Divi's, if your an option trader your gonna have to exercise your option to be eligible to receive a Dividend.
