It's possible and the 767 is a good plane, selling well from Boeing. Kalitta did have a brokerage arm, Kalitta Leasing, in the past, so they would probably have knowledge.
Honestly, I'm hoping they opt for a 747-8. Boeing is having a hard time selling these and have in the past taken old Boeings on trade for guaranteed sale. Would like to see BLTA leverage the old 747 for one and negotiate a good price with the low demand. the 747-8 would still have the cargo room and passenger area to take advantage of both revenue streams.
I am curious either way if they will go for a wet or dry lease. Wet leases include plane and crew, dry lease just the plane.
