I think that buy is there just as a place holder and will not get filled. when they're ready to start the buyback they'll obviously have to move up the bid. as to where the funds came from, the mrvb system has been making gains and they're only showing you a portion during the live feeds. they got the funds initially the same way all start ups do, selling shares, which shouldn't be a surprise
