FDA approves dangerous new antibiotic on 7-6 vote. Liver toxicity and possibility of permanent harm or death..... but passed because it's the first new antibiotic to treat pneumonia in a long time. (Die now from pneumonia, or later from the antibiotic, some choice.)

So if they approve an antibiotic with these kinds of side effects, does anyone really believe the bashers when they claim that Brilacidin won't be approved because of a possible transient and quickly reversed tingling and possible briefly elevated high blood pressure? Balderdash!
