Broad markets observation (so OT): I'm wondering if it's about to roll over and we've seen today's highs. For today's close, so much will depend on whether options sellers and purchasers are wrong-footed or not. I still remember the Friday afternoon when the broad markets were down tremendously, and in the last 5 minutes, a miraculous rally closed the markets solidly green -- destroying the put holders. (Then, of course, it tanked again the following Monday, after the options writers wiped their sweaty brows and escaped with their profits.)

Of course, I was holding puts at the time so this remains deeply embedded in my memory.
