They should give the 200% more to shareholders the day prior to the post split price going into effect.
OK, I replaced what you already know with this piece which I'm not sure of cause I've only seen it once but wasn't a direct participant:
If it's a dividend, you must get your additional shares a day in advance of the price change so you can sell them on the open market, right? You must be able to cash them in for net value prior to the price adjustment or you gain nothing over a shareholder as of today's date.
