Im not sure how an investigation would start from an online post, but you never know....
favorite example from required test at my company, a roommate tells his roommate about an upcoming deal at his company where they will take over a competitor. The roommate says wow, and the other roommate says don't say anything please I could get in trouble. The roommate trades on that info makes some money, but both go down for insider trading as a tipper who only told and the tippee who traded the info both would get charged. I always thought it was unfair to the tipper but when things are confidential in the office of a publically traded company you better not even share with family.... ..
