I saw an interesting You Tube of yet another potential Coates competitor that was on the Road and Track site. It's called the Koenigsegg Freevalve system. It's a camless engine claiming many of the same advantages as Coates.
Apparently they are focusing on the car market (lots of luck), but at least a Chinese company was showing their engine at a recent car show in China, so they're getting exposure.
I emailed the author of the article telling him that he should look into Coates. We'll see.
