I would love to see NTEK put all its resources into their #1 strength namely their unquestionable tech expertise in mastering 4K & HDR. NTEK could realistically be the pipeline (utility) and the remastering 4K/HDR "go to" for well over 50% of the major studios and even for some of our UF competitors ie Netflix, Amazon etc
Last SH letter indicated we would be ramping up 4K studios and this in turn would lead to profitably in this coming quarter. UF's content purchases are a major burn on cash which thus far have not turned a profit. (albeit they mentioned a 75% reduction in delivery cost).
On the other hand, 4K studios even in these early stages appears to be a huge money maker. Why is this? We already have the tech prowess for 4K studios and its only real expenses are it employee manpower.
My personal wish for NTEK as a SH is for our 4K and HDR tech expertise to be so coveted by the likes of Netflix and Amazon that they will get into a bidding buyout war for our "pipeline know how" and all loyal longs get our well deserve payout for sticking around this long. I do not believe they get into a bidding war for UF but instead for the "secret sauce" behind it all.
