Actually I think Clinton has at least a shot at 'making things better'.
Once people get past the misguided notion that the Infrastructure is going to get repaired, and needed new shit is going to get built, without paying for it, they'll come around.
Reform the tax code to be just a little more than revenue neutral, and to achieve near zero for non-compliance, and we'll have what we need.
That includes lifting the cap on SS contributions.
And yeah, some form of 'tax holiday' to being home the offshore money. There's room for a 'grand bargain' for all of that.
