I graduated long enough ago from a tough HS and a challenging U. that this doesn't apply to me, so try and tar someone else here.
Every generation complains about the youth and the diminishment of educational standards. Sometimes they are right, often they are wrong.
It's also the weakness of the old to make sweeping generalizations about damned near everything. It's the 'get off my lawn syndrome' writ large.
And it's indicative of an aversion to the 'heavy lifting' entailed in applying critical thinking skills, which are non-existent for some and badly atrophied in others.
