This is a big one. It is extremely unusual for one lawyer to turn on another, no matter how egregious the behavior -- so if she sanctions Rosen, she's going to want to make sure they have absolutely no basis for an appeal that will make the other lawyers mad at her for breaking the lawyers' code and actually punishing someone for bad behavior.
