No, the irony is exactly what I stated. You can't point to any practical consequences, negative or otherwise, to any so called 'pledge of allegiance' to the Pope.
Millions of RC's do their jobs with no thought of such allegiance. Something about 'putting aside the things of a child', I THINK.
Sorry that you weren't educated beyond the indoctrination. As I stated, me and most of my friends had no such difficulties.
I can point to far, far, more of that and 'cafeteria RC's' going about their lives not caring a fig for your kind conspiracy theories fueled yes, by religious bigotry.
