U.S. trade deficit rises to $40.7 bn in August
Washington – The U.S. trade deficit rose to $40.7 billion in August, up 3 percent from the $39 billion figure registered in the previous month, the Commerce Department reported Wednesday.
The increase was in line with analysts' estimates,
which called for a trade deficit of between $37 billion
and $44 billion in Augus
