Hydro
is maybe the cheapest. Where the breakdown is, is transporting electricity long distance.
For 10k in Michigan you can place 3 wind turbines on your house and they will carry about 35-40% of your house load....if you go LED and other energy saving methods you can get up to 50-60% of your house load.
Most coast lines could deploy wave energy.
Democratic policy has force coal to go off line over the last 20 years increasing utility bills 10 fold in places. Policy is also forcing Nuclear off line. Last Nuclear power plant went on line 20 years ago.
I seen where a cheap hydro attachment to your gas burner could increase gas mileage by 40% and decrease carbon emissions by 90%.
We have 1000's of Wind turbines going up in Michigan.

I'm a Crazy Scots-Irishman Blue Blood... It's probably not a good idea to listen to me...everything I say is of my opinion. I'm not a good place to get investment advise...
