Texas Police Officer Shocked By Anonymous Letter Left on Car
A Texas police officer was touched to receive a handwritten note on his squad car recently, thanking the officer for their service the community and praying for their safety, Fox 4 reported.
A picture of the letter was shared by the Fort Worth Police Association, in hopes they could identify the writer and thank them for their kind support:
To whoever drives this squad car,
Thank you. I am in awe that there are people like you who choose to get up and put on your uniform everyday. You are courageous, you are faithful, and I pray that my kids grow up to be like the kind of person it takes to be you just a few hours a day.
Whoever you are, I pray for you every day and for men and women just like you. I pray you and your family is protected, bust most of all that you are blessed for the work that you do.
There is a God who adores you. He died for you and HE is proud of you.
Keep on keepin’ on.
The letter, signed only by "Maddison W.", has since gone viral as social media users help the Texas department in finding the author.
The kind words come in the wake of numerous protests against perceived police brutality, including by athletes like Colin Kaepernick, the backup quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers.
