TED CRUZ PRAISED DONALD TRUMP’S PERFORMANCE AT THE FIRST PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE.
Donald Trump has been having trouble getting the vote of the very conservative republicans. Ted Cruz, someone who up until recently spoke against Donald Trump has recently endorsed him and then even praised his debate skills. This is a major turning point for a candidate who was torn apart by the conservative side of the party.
“Tonight, a clear contrast was drawn between the two nominees. Tonight, Hillary Clinton made it clearer than ever that if elected President, our future will continue on the same path that is hurting millions of Americans.” said Ted Cruz in a Facbeook post.
There was a lot of controversy when Ted Cruz didn’t instantly endorse Trump when stepping down from his campaign, many speculated that he’d endorse Hillary Clinton as retaliation. The fact that he went through with what he had agreed shows that he is indeed a true Republican.
“If Clinton is elected, we know that a liberal justice will be named to fill Scalia’s seat and we will lose the Supreme Court for a generation. With that, we know for a certainty that our right to keep and bear arms, our religious liberty and federalism are in danger.”
He then went on to say “If Clinton is elected… we will lose the Supreme Court for a generation.” This is a major key point to this election. A lot of super right wing conservatives are starting to realize what is on the line if they do not back Donald Trump. They may not like him, but the country depends on it in their eyes.
