The irony, not lost on Dem voters of the time? FDR was building the Boulder and Grand Coulee Dams, the TVA and probably some of the bridges, schools and post offices you've used. Also, Social Security.
Bring back Eisenhower tax rates, so we can repair all that shit and colonize Mars!
Also, as with 'rural electrification', let's roll out high speed Internet to the same Red State areas. Fewer 'dim bulbs', literally and figuratively!
