If you're up to your ears in shit...you're on your own
1-3 months per person in supplies are recommended...it might take 2 years to grow crops again...can't image any government being prepared for over 2 years and supplies for maybe 100,000,000. Most US families have supplies for 1-2 weeks and grocery stores have maybe 1 weeks worth at best. safe zones might and again it only a educated guess in the US might be better prepared.
