OT: I always like to keep in mind that fear is one of the strongest human emotions. Everytime I see, read, or am told something which is encouraging me to be afraid I take pause to reflect on what exactly I am being told and from what angle it is being proposed to me. Yes, there are certainly things in this world that are worth fearing and doing things about; however, too many of us humans have mastered the art of using that emotional to take advantage of others. It is a constant battle to sift through the sheer amounts of daily information to determine who are using fear as a tool for ill purposes and who are genuinely informing of things to worry about. Unfortunately this is not likely a problem which will be solved for many more generations, but I have hope that over time we will move past petty motivations and into a state of mind where we think/act for the good of us all.
