So the "3 week transaction" turns out to be a confidentiality agreement ? In my business those types of agreements were a dime a dozen. All they meant was that one of us was going to tell the other something we didn't want others to know. It certainly doesn't mean a deal is imminent.
And he says Coates will do the final assembly in the U.S. where they have no facility big enough to accommodate large scale production. He wants to build a building. It takes a long time from scratch in NJ to build a commercial building with all of the permitting and inspection requirements needed, let alone the architectural plans, construction time, outfitting the facility with the necessary equipment and then hiring and training staff.
And I'm not talking out of my butt. I was president and part owner of the largest construction cost estimating company in the world. Looks like it will still be a long time until a product is rolling off the line.
