One big difference between Chinese and American businesses is that Chinese businesses are less likely to strangle their company with excessive or unfavorable debt for the sake of accelerated growth.
Another difference is that they think in longer than quarter to quarter time frames like in the States. They will project plans out longer and in many ways, more healthy for the business, than in the States.
These of course are just trends and not absolutes but they pose good strategies for a start up. To not saddle it with excessive debt by self financing is great.
The older business people are from the generation that believed in saving as much as possible and were one of the largest saving generations of their time, unlike the current growing Chinese middle class.
Hopefully something will come of this.
