Murder is right on point. If a rooster slashes the tires of an ambulance and hinders its ability to reach patients in a life threatening situation and they subsequently die because of the rooster's actions then that rooster is contributing to the cause of death.

I believe we might have just witnessed the rooster speaking out because he felt guilty and knew you were talking about him.
