My oldest was a DE/TE kicker could hit from 52 yards...D1 prospect, Coach would never use him. Run right, run left punt.
He was also ranked by baseball america and was being scouted by 4 major league team comparable to Putum of the White Sox...same draft year here in Michigan. Played 1st and 3rd base also. HS coach loved his Major League curve ball so much that is all he would let him throw... UCL tear 3rd game of is senior season...
Coaches need to protect their assets and also use them wisely....Hopefully that Roth will cover some of what he could have been...
