If nothing else comes out of the "cancer moonshot" initiative, I'd hope that the research database network be it. That ideas seems like the most likely to make the biggest impact. We already have evidence that data mining can have a large amount of success determining patterns and trends. To have a massive information network that universities and research pharma companies can both utilize and contribute to in order to improve their knowledge and development of treatments would drastically speed up the process. Additionally, the network and it's maintenance should be one of the least costly of the proposals, especially if the people in charge are willing to contract to a major tech company who has already succeeded in massive data infrastructure (*cough* google *cough*).
