Didn't lock doors at the house
or for the car.
I will never forget this:
I was in Bloomington Indiana home
of IU University to see a friend.
We went out for espresso shoppe drinks.
As we got out of my car the girl paused
and with great thought so as to get through
to me in a concise manner she said:
"Michael, even in Bloomington there is pain"
I let that sink in and went "Oh shittt"
realizing the ramifications The world had
changed and not for the better.
I starting locking my car door when out of town after that.
That is a sadness of course to this day.
