In my opinion, the dislikes do not affect the search engine visibility. More so, the page views and user activity has more of an impact. So even though there are bashers here who continue to get their posts deleted and dislike posts, their activity overrides their negative impact.
Also, bashers earn their reputation based on their activity here. In the long term, these bashers usually get their accounts limited and sometimes banned.
When the majority of the NTEK longs got tired of the BS on that other site, that was the pivot point. It took several months for the search engines to reflect this, but it eventually happened. Now, when I do search based on the last 24 hours, I only get results returned by investorshangout which is great.
