I think much of this is being done because funny money is in play. One or more of the investment banks is going to crash imho in the near future and when all is exposed we will end up with an asset backed dollar which will eliminate many of the games presently being played. The U.S. Dollar is already losing is luster around the world and the politicians have allowed money to be printed with reckless abandon. There is a limit and we are getting close complete with negative interest rates becoming fairly commonplace in different parts of the world. A complete collapse of our markets would not shock me at this point and I find neither of our candidates for President instill confidence. These are sad times to be sure.
