9-Year-Old's Birthday Wish? To Deliver Pizzas to Louisiana Flood Victims
A Louisiana boy decided to celebrate his ninth birthday in an unconventional - and extraordinarily generous - way.
Carson Boutte, of Acadiana, told his parents he wanted to forego presents, a party and cake, and instead spend that money on pizzas for victims of the Louisiana floods.
Carson's mother, Lanie Boutte, posted about her son's idea Facebook to see if anyone else wanted to chip in.
Boy, did they ever.
People offered donations and called Domino's and ordered more pizzas to contribute to the cause. Domino's also agreed to match the first 100 pizzas.
Ultimately, 363 pizzas were delivered throughout Acadiana in honor of Carson's birthday, with some of them being delivered by Carson himself.
"We're going to give them lunch so they don't have to stop what they're doing," Carson explained during a delivery. "We're just going to deliver pizzas to neighborhoods that have flooded."
“He’s been so kindhearted since he has been born,” his mother said. “I am glad he is sharing it with the world. They can see it like we can.”
