MD Anderson Receives NCI Award for MRX™ Research
Earlier this year we highlighted the work of MD Anderson researcher Sara Loupot, who has been working on computational biology applications to enhance the interpretation of magnetic relaxometry measurements. Sara is part of the team at MD Anderson’s Small Animal Imaging Facility using our MRX™ technology with the aim of developing an early ovarian cancer diagnostic. Now we are happy to report that Sara has received an F31 Fellowship Award from the NCI. These awards are targeted to “talented doctoral candidates training in cancer related fields.” Sara will use the award to support her work in sparse reconstruction algorithms for magnetic relaxometry. Congrats Sara!

MRX™ Technology Patent Issued in Russia
In June we received notice that our patent application on our core magnetic relaxometry technology has been granted by the Russian Federation. This is expands the intellectual property protection for our early cancer detection platform to include the U.S., China, Japan, Australia, Israel, and now Russia.

Iron Oxide Nanoparticle Uses in Medicine
Iron oxide nanoparticles are at the core of what we do here at Senior Scientific (pun intended). And, obviously we are very proud to be developing magnetic relaxometry as a new medical imaging method for the early detection of cancer, but there are lots of other medical applications of our nanoparticles.
